NCA B747-8F suffers tail-strike at Tokyo-Narita

Nippon Cargo Airlines' B747-8F JA13KZ suffered a tail-strike at Tokyo-Narita on 1 February. The aircraft came from Hong Kong and needed to do a go-around during landing with high winds at Tokyo. No one was injured in the incident, but the aircraft sustained some damage on the aft fuselage.

The Japanese Ministry of Transport has rated the incident as serious and has assigned investigators of the Japan Transport Safety Board to the case. In total the aircraft had gotten scrape marks over a length of three meters.
