JAL officially orders B737MAX

As a follow-up on our post of 8 March 2023, Boeing and Japan Airlines now officially confirmed that both companies agreed on a firm order for the B737MAX. In total, the airline is ordering 21 B737-8s which will be delivered from 2026 onwards.

Japan Airlines will use the new MAXs to renew its current fleet of 43 B737-800s. Next to the B737-800s, JAL is flying with sixteen Airbus A350-900s, 27 B767-300ERs, three B777-200ERs, thirteen B777-300ERs, 25 B787-8s, and 22 B787-9.
