On the second day of the Dubai Air Show, Airbus welcomed flydubai as a new customer. The Emirates-subsidiary and the European-manufacturer announced a Memorandum of Understanding for up to 150 A321neos. The deal is comprised of 115 firm orders and 35 options. No delivery timeline has been communicated at this stage.
flydubai has always been a loyal Boeing-customer since it was established in 2008. It currently operates a fleet of 26 B737-800s, 67 B737-8s, and three B737-9s.
The airline also has open orders with Boeing for 116 B737MAXs and 30 B787-9s.
