Dutch Dakota heart cry!

The future of Holland’s sole airworthy Douglas DC-3, PH-PBA, is in jeopardy!

According to a heart cry of the DDA Classic Airlines it is very uncertain if the foundation can continue to fly this Dutch treasure. After six years of sponsorship, Jumbo Supermarkten B.V. has decided to cease the financial support to the Dutch Dakota Association.

So now, unless new sponsors can be found, there is a fair chance that Dakota PH-PBA has made its final flight! It would also mean that the Dutch Dakota Association would have to cease its activities in its fortieth year as a volunteer organization.

In these forty years the 120 dedicated volunteers have made DDA Classic Airlines an example of success. It is one of the few (if any other) volunteer organization that operates under in AOC (Airline Operating Certificate) enabling flights for paying passengers.

DDA Chairman Feije Jaski estimates that an amount of EUR 100,000 is needed to secure the future of Dakota PH-PBA and DDA Classic Airlines! So it is now or never: if you are not already a supporter of the DDA, then become one now! Contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
