Dassault reveals latest ULR bizjet
On 6 May, Dassault Aviation revealed the Falcon 10X, the ultra-long-range business jet to beat in terms of luxury and internal volume, in Paris.
The 7,500 miles/13,900 kilometres range of the Falcon 10X connects all major international business destinations nonstop. Fly New York to Shanghai, Hong Kong to New York, Los Angeles to Sydney, Paris to Santiago at Mach .85. Fly faster and connect Geneva to Singapore, Moscow to Los Angeles or New York to Dubai at Mach .90. Its maximum speed is Mach .925 and operates at an altitude of 51,000 feet.
It has the largest interior among ultra-long-range jets, with 3,300 square feet of space that includes a 9’1” cabin width and 6’8” headroom. Depending on owner preference, that translates to as many as four lounges, including a bedroom with sitting area and private bathroom with full shower. To enhance the sense of openness, four large windows pour natural light into this private living area.
A single smart throttle will serve as the primary power control, connecting both engines to the Digital Flight Control System which will automatically manage the power of each engine as needed in different flight scenarios.
The twin-engine aircraft will be powered by business aviation’s most advanced and efficient engine, the in-development Rolls Royce Pearl® 10X. The 10X is the latest, largest and most powerful version of the Pearl series, delivering more than 18,000 pounds of thrust.
Thanks to Dassault’s breakthrough FalconEye® combined vision system—the first to offer both enhanced and synthetic vision capabilities—combined with dual HUDs able to serve as primary flight displays, the 10X will be capable of operating in essentially zero ceiling/visibility conditions.
