Boeing resumes B787-deliveries

On 10 August 2022, Boeing officially resumed deliveries of Dreamliners with the delivery of a Boeing B787-8 to American Airlines. It's two days later than we reported earlier this month. The aircraft, N880BJ (66000), was handed over on this day and ferried from Charleston (SC) to Victorville (CA). There it will receive a bit of post-delivery maintenance before entering service.

It's the first Dreamliner-delivery since July 2021 and the first for American Airlines since April 2021. In total, the airline now has a fleet of 25 B787-8s and 22 B787-9s and open orders for 42 more.
