BA Euroflyer receives AOC

On 6 December 2022, BA Euroflyer, the new London-Gatwick based British Airways-subsidiary, received its Air Operator's Certificate. The new company was already flying since 29 March 2022, but still with the AOC of British Airways. Now, BA Euroflyer will, gradually, take-over the operations. The first aircraft transferred from BA to BA Euroflyer is Airbus A320 G-GATL (1834). In the coming six months, nine additional A320s and nine A321s will be transferred to BA Euroflyer. The only way to identify these aircraft is by the small "Operated by BA Euroflyer"-sticker on the nose.

BA Euroflyer was launched by British Airways in order to have an airline with a lower cost-base operating out of London-Gatwick to go head-to-head with all the low-cost competition at this airport. It plans to serve more than 30 destinations in Summer 2023.
