ALIANSA Dakota crash

On 8 July 2021, during a training flight from Villavicencio-La Vanguardia to Villavicencio-La Vanguardia, Colombia, with three crew members onboard, the ALIANSA Colombia Dakota (HK-2820, msn 20171) was climbing out of Villavicencio, about five minutes after departure, when radar and radio contact was lost.

Local media reported the crew declared emergency shortly after departure.

Not long after the crash site was confirmed in the Guatiquia river canyon, east of the aerodrome, which is in a mountainous area.
