Nowadays known as Zeeland Airport, Midden-Zeeland is a 'green' civil field with mostly light aircraft. Its location in the Zeeland province is quite remote, but if you are in the vicinity a visit is worthwhile. Especially during the summer months, there is quite heavy parachuting traffic, sometimes with bigger aircraft like a Let 410. Gliders are using this field too and there even is a 'Flying Museum'. Operations are restricted to the daylight period and visual only.
All the hangars are placed like a string along the northern perimeter. To see the aircraft up close, access to the field is required as the hangars obstruct the view from the road. The south side is not accessible. The glider strip is located to the south of the 1000 m grass runway.
Public transport will bring you no further than Arnemuiden train station, some 5km to the southwest. You could take a 'Regiotaxi' from there but reservation is a must for that. For drivers the nearest motorway exit is also in Arnemuiden. There are signs leading to the airfield.
