36.SPLT was disbanded on 1 January 2012 as a direct tesult of the tragic accident with the units Tu-154M in 2010. The helicopters were assigned to the newly formed 1.BLTr except for the AB412 which was handed over to the Police. The sole remaining Tu-154 and the four remaining Yak-40s were put up for sale. Two ERJ175s were leased from LOT to provide fixed wing VIP transportation. Five VIP configured W-3s were ordered in early 2012, probably as a replacement for the remaining four Mi-8s. Visit the units

8.elt operating the Su-22 was redesignated from 8.PLM-B on 1 January 2000. The unit relocated to Swidwin in 2010. After the departure of 8.elt the base will be degraded to caretaker status under responsibility of 12.Komenda
Lotniska. The base was involved in various exercises since seeing deployments of Su-22s from Swidwin and army helicopters using the base due
its proximity to the large ranges near the base.

In 2010 the 15.Eskadra Dzialan Specialnych took up residence from Bydgoszcz.
The unit was reorganised into the 7.eds in 2011. 7.eds is a special operations squadron that should receive a total of ten Mi-17s and four Mi-24s in due time. The Mi-2s, W-3s and An-28s previously assigned to 15.EDS are also at Powidz but it is unknown to which squadron they are assigned.

3.eltł which was previously designated at the 3.EL was the sole remaining unit here following the disbanding of 11.PLM flying the MiG-21M/MF in 1999. The unit was tasked with liaison tasks for 3.KOP and also with SAR tasks. The unit moved to Bydgoszcz in 2008 following which Wroclaw-Strachowice was reduced to standby status.

In 2000 the 58.LPSz was redesignated into the 1.OSzL however, on 1 January 2011 it was again redesignated into the 41.Baza Lotnictwa Szkolnego. The unit also incorporates the 'Iskry' demonstration team. In 2002 1.OSzL received the helicopters from 3.OSzL at Biala Podlaska after this unit
disbanded. Most of the the Mi-2's were replaced by 24 PZL SW-4's over the
past decade but some remain in service.
