In 2012 AS.211 were introduced by 7th TFS to replace the F-5. In 2015 the FA-50 started replacing these AS.211.

Until its disbandment at 20 July 2017 the Air Defense Wing Headquarters was situated at Basa. The role has been taken over by Air Defense Command.
20 July 2017 the 5th Fighter Group converted into 5th Fighter Wing.

In November 2005 the first with a new Sighting System updated AS.211 "Warrior" was shown painted in a new camo scheme.

Aircraft and pilots from 102nd PTS perform aerial demonstrations under the "Ravens Aerobatic Team" umbrella.
