The indigenous T-35 Pillán is based on the PA-28 Dakota and is used in the primary training (T-35A) and navigation training (T-35B) roles at El Bosque. The aircraft saw only marginal export success in its early years (with Spain being the only customer), but international sales have picked up the last ten years with Paraguay, Panama and The Dominican Republic acquiring factory fresh examples and El Salvador and Guatemala receiving former FACh aircraft.
