Since June 2004, 11e Escadrille/11de Smaldeel has a permanent detachment at Cazaux, France. It is incorporated into ETO 02.008 with 29 Alpha Jet 1B+ and is part of the French-Belgian Alpha Jet School ( AJetS ) at Cazaux, France.
All the helicopters are "property" of the Wing Heli Maintenance Group which for historical reasons has gained the unusual numerical designation of 255 Maintenance Group.
15 Sqn OCTU (Operation Conversion and Training Unit) is responsible for the tactical part of the A109 conversion and training.

The 15th Wing consist of three squadrons ( smaldelen ). All Flights are part of Smaldeel Crew Management, while Smaldeel Ops & Training is responsible for the training on all aircraft.

For all long haul flight the BAC uses these Embraer Long Range VIP aircraft. Next to flying nicely on air routes and flying stable on instrument approaches, it also makes appearances on the KB Spottersdays.

The 10 Wing at Kleine Brogel is responsible for the Quick Reaction Alert of the Belgian airspace and is flown in this configuration with live AMRAAMs an the wingtips and live AIM-9L Sidewinders under the wing, as shown by this F-16AM FA98.
