On October 11, 1989 this Syrian MiG-23 landed an airport close to Kibbutz Megiddo. The pilot, who had been on a training mission in Syria, crossed the border and flew undisturbed for seven minutes through Israeli airspace. On this picture you can both Israeli and Syrian markings while the aircraft was used by the Israeli's. The MiG can now be seen in the Hatzerim Museum in Israel.

No Hip's were seen here in mid-2005 which might indicate thet they left altogether and moved elsewhere. The L-29 Delphins and the L-39s that we previously mentioned here seem to have vanished for no operational L-29/39 was seen during a visit in 2005.
