9sq and 25sq operated A-4KU/TA-4KU from this airfield until the 90s, 12sq operated its Hawks out of this airfield in the past.



One of the most interesting International Air Tattoos is undoubtedly the one in 1993 when Kuwait Air Force F/A-18's came to Europe to say thank you to the coalition troops that participated in the liberation of Kuwait during the First Gulf War.
