|
| On
this page you can find the aircraft order of battle of the Republic
of Egypt Air Force. Also we present links to Microsoft's Expediamaps
service: with each airbase you can find a link to a map of the airbases'
neighbourhood. If available you will find links to the website of
some Squadrons. With each airbase you can look up the current weather
info using Wunderground service. Of course, updates are always welcome. If you have corrections or additions please send them to us ! Credits to Robert Wilkinson for the badges. |

The Sea Kings are no longer used for sensor operations, all mission systems were removed years ago. They are used exclusively for logistics support at and around the northern coastal region. The Gazelles are used for recon and can conduct anti-ship operations with HOT Missiles, though they rarely train at this mission! The SH-2G(E) is the only aircraft at the base that can adequately deploy abord the Egyptian Navy ships. The H-2 is equipped with radar and AQS-18A dipping sonar. THe 37th routinely supports the EN ships in the AuSW and ASW mission areas. The aircraft are still PARTIALLY maintained and flown by an American training cadre.
