Following up on the big success of the first edition of the US Crashes book, we can now announce the publication of its follow-up: "US MILITARY AIRCRAFT MISHAPS 1950 - 2004".
This book contains details of every known mishap to a US military aircraft which resulted in the loss of the aircraft, since 1950. The period covers the wars in Korea, Vietnam and Iraq. Sorted by date, each entry contains serial number and exact type of the aircraft, codes worn (if any), unit details, location of the crash, what caused it and what the crew's fate was. A cross-reference section has also been included.
It took years of research to write this book and the help of countless individuals, as well as help from official sources. All in all, it contains well over 25,000 crashes, an increase of 10,000 over the first edition. The size of the book has grown accordingly and it now weighs in at a whopping 496 pages. This time, we have also included a large number of photographs that depict the incidents in the book.
In short: this book cannot be missed; it is a invaluable reference work for the serious researcher!

Na het grote success van de eerste editie van het 'US Crashes' boek hebben we nu een opvolger gemaakt: "US MILITARY AIRCRAFT MISHAPS 1950 - 2004".
In het boek staan details van elk bekend ongeluk met een militair Amerikaans vliegtuig waarbij dat vliegtuig verloren ging, sinds 1950. Deze periode beslaat de oorlogen in Korea, Vietnam en Irak. De ongelukken staan gesorteerd op datum en elk geval bestaat uit het serienummer en exact type toestel, de codes die zo mogelijk werden gedragen, tot welke eenheid het behoorde, lokatie van de crash, de oorzaak ervan en wat er met de bemanning gebeurd is. Er is ook een cross-reference sectie.
Het heeft jaren van research gekost om dit boek te schrijven en de hulp van ontelbare mensen, maar ook kwam er hulp uit officiele bronnen. In totaal bevat het boek ruim 25.000 ongevallen, 10.000 meer dan in de vorige editie. Het boek is daarom ook een stuk dikker geworden en beslaat nu zelfs 496 pagina's! Ook bevat het boek deze keer een groot aantal foto's van de incidenten uit het boek.
Kortom: een boek dat niet gemist mag worden, het is een onschatbaar referentiewerk voor de serieuze researcher!
