The history of Scramble Magazine...
|
The main activity of the Dutch Aviation Society is the publication of
the magazine Scramble. Every month Scramble contains an average of about 140
pages and more than 100 photos from all around the world.
The history of Scramble goes back to 1979, when a couple of aviation enthousiasts in the neighbourhood of Schiphol Airport decided to publish the movements of the Dutch national airport on a monthly basis. These eight stencilled papers together were named "06-24 News", after one of the runways of Schiphol. Soon the movements were complemented by airliner and airlines news, military news and the first pictures: Scramble was born!
With the addition of more and more sections Scramble grew and grew and has now become one of the most important magazines in the Netherlands for the aviation
enthousiast who wants to stay up-to-date with news, civil and military, to support his or her hobby.
