Op zaterdag 16 april 2011 organiseren de stichtingen Airnieuws Nederland en de Dutch Aviation Society weer een luchtvaartbeurs. Deze beurs vond zijn oorsprong in het najaar van 1996, onder de naam Dutch Spotters Convention (DSC). Al jaren is het de plaats voor de Nederlandse luchtvaartenthousiast om allerlei luchtvaart- gerelateerde zaken te kopen, te verkopen of te ruilen. De luchtvaartbeurs vindt net als voorgaande jaren op Rotterdam The Hague Airport plaats. In het luchthavengebouw zullen tientallen stands zijn opgesteld met dia's, foto's, video's, boeken, tijdschriften, DVD's/CD's, ansichtkaarten, vliegtuigmodellen en vele andere verzamel- objecten gerelateerd aan de luchtvaart. Ook andere verenigingen en bedrijven verbonden met de luchtvaart en luchtvaarthobby zullen aanwezig zijn. Gedurende de dag kunnen bezoekers - onder voorbehoud - rondritten maken over het platform en een blik achter de schermen van de luchthaven werpen. In tegenstelling tot onze eerdere aankondiging komt DDA Classic Airlines helaas toch niet naar Rotterdam met een van haar Dakota's. Om tussendoor even bij te komen van alle actie is het restaurant van de luchthaven een prima plaats om even onder het genot van een kop koffie en/of een broodje bij te praten met vrienden en collega-hobbyisten. Voor elke luchtvaartliefhebber is er wel iets te doen, dus Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Airnieuws Nederland en de Dutch Aviation Society nodigen dan ook iedereen van harte uit om op zaterdag 16 april 2011 naar Rotterdam Airport te komen. Rotterdam The Hague Airport is per auto bereikbaar via snelweg A13. Bezoekers van de luchtvaartbeurs kunnen (kosteloos) parkeren op P1 of P3 (lang parkeren). Bij de Airnieuws-stand kunt u uw inrijkaart kosteloos laten omzetten in een uitrijkaart. Zie voor een routebeschrijving naar de luchthaven www.rotterdamthehagueairport.nl. Toegang tot de luchtvaartbeurs is kosteloos. De beurs duurt van 10.00 tot 16.00 uur. |
On Saturday 16 April 2011 Airnieuws Nederland and Dutch Aviation Society will organise an aviation convention again. This gathering of aviation enthusiasts first took place in 1996 and is known as the Dutch Spotters Convention (DSC). For years it has been the place in the Netherlands to trade, sell or exchange all kinds of aviation related collectables. Like the previous years the aviation convention will be held in the terminal of Rotterdam The Hague Airport. In the airport building dozens of booths will be put up with slides, photos, videos, books, magazines, DVDs/CDs, postcards, aircraft models and many other aviation related collectables. Also other aviation societies and aviation companies will be present. In addition - to be confirmed - bus tours over the apron and runway of the airport will be organised to show the visitor a view 'behind the scenes'. DDA Classic Airlines planned to do a pleasure flight with her Dakota over the harbour of Rotterdam. Unfortunately, it has now been confirmed that they will not come. Meanwhile the airport restaurant is an excellent location to relax from all the activities and socialise with friends and fellow enthusiasts, enjoying a cup of coffee and/or a sandwich. So there is much to do for aviation enthusiasts and therefore Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Airnieuws Nederland and Dutch Aviation Society invite everyone to come to Rotterdam The Hague Airport on Saturday 16 April 2011! Rotterdam The Hague Airport can be reached by highway A13. Visitors of the convention will be offered free parking on parking lots P1 and P3 (long term parking). You can exchange your parking card for a free exit card at the Airnieuws booth. The offer does not apply to other parking lots. For driving directions see www.rotterdamthehagueairport.nl.
