Swiss fliegerhortsen info juli - august 2008

Post by kmarrie »

Today I heard the following info about swiss fliegerhortsen.

The swiss air force is doing some test with different airplanes to see wich one is the best for them.
The test periodes are:

Saab Gripen: 28.07. bis 22.08.2008 Medienanlass: 12.08.2008
Dassault Rafale: 13.10. bis 07.11.2008 Medienanlass: 28.10.2008
EADS Eurofighter: 10.11. bis 05.12.2008 Medienanlass: 25.11.2008

All those test will take place at Emmen and for each airplane there will be a spottersday as well.

I can find your info on :

Some other info:

@kmarrie
Emmen is already active since monday. This week I expect some Tigers from Austria and from Payerne but also the pilot school with their Pc-21. The pilot school will fly the Pc-21 from Emmen until end of october.

Thanks swiss member,

can you tell me anything more about any flight activities in the month august on the air bases Meiringen, Alpnach, Emmen, Stans.

Do you know for example when the pilatus factory is doing test flights during the week.

Thanks Ralph.

No problem,

I think most people will know what it means. I'm sorry I didn't know that you are tigerfan.

An other question.

Do you have any idear how many "waves" the 2 gripens are flying a day.

And some thing about St Stephans: How many hunters are participating in this "airshow" just 4 or can we see some more?

Gr ralph
