Today 31-10-08 round 14.00 hours Fokker 60 U-03 appeared on SBS as NAF-60.
Is this aircraft back on duty due capacity problems whit the Herc,s ?.
Or have they found a new owner and brought it in the air for a testflight ?.

There is a possible buyer for it. So Fokker is making it ready to fly again.

Todays flight was a quick shakedown before a number of upcoming demonstration flights for potential buyers.
Apparently there are at least three parties interested in buying the aircraft.

Regards,
Yorden

Nice to hear that the U-03 is back in the air again for possible sale.
Will this sale include the entire Fokker 60 fleet or just the U-03 (and perhaps U-01)?

As I understand it, it's for the whole fleet.
The U-03 will be used for demonstration flights (there's one planned for Tuesday), and if there is a deal, the remaining three will be brought up to operational status again. Hopefully all four will be back in service sometime soon.

Regards,
Yorden

F-27 C.100 /C.400 C-3 or C-12 should be broughts back to flying conditions with the RNLAF Historical Flight?

So Gilze: NAH-64D, Sa.532 mk2, CH-47D/F, Alouette III and F-27!!!

Isn't the C-3 already in posession of SKHV? And you're forgetting all the other aircraft with SKHV at Gilze :P

AFAIK C-12 has never been earmarked for the Historical Flight. One of the former RNLAF F-27s should be restored to flying status by them, but this has always been a (very) long-term project. That frame should be at EHWO.

One of the reasons given by the guys from Gilze was that there wouldn't be much interest in the Troopship for airshows, because PH-FHF was available for these duties, (would be flown by an ex-334 Squadron demo-pilot) and normal public would not be interested in a civil and military F-27. They wouldn't notice the difference.

That deal fell through, as they were only interested in a deal concerning the Fokker 50s to, I thought

As much as I'd like to, I can't say.

I can say that Chile is not one of the potential buyers, that deal fell through a while ago.

Yorden
