This a combined military and civil airport. There is plenty of military hardware to see, as the RNLAF F-16s are flying quite frequently. On the civil side, only a couple of charters and some light aircraft are using this airport.

The terminal

Another spot is at the terminal, jus follow the "Vliegveld" signs. The restaurant and terrace have a glass fence and you're not allowed to stand on the restaurant chairs!

Around The Airport

The official spotterscorner
|
|
The official spotters corner is situated at runway 24. From the A1 highway you take the exit "Vliegveld Twente". Turn right at the McDonald's restaurant and turn left immediately. Follow this road for approximately 1 km. The spotters corner is at your right. The runway is a little bit too far for photogrophy purposes. A spot can be found before the start of the runway if you drive back to the McDonalds and take the first left.

Runway 06

Runway 06 is also reachable. This is at a sandy road at the west side of the airfield.
