| Introduction |
|
Weelde is well known for the large storage-area of the Belgian Forces. It holds several disposed F-16s and other aircraft. Base-tours are given regularly. The Air Cadets can normally be found here, attending a summercamp, from April until September. The Weelde Squadron should have been disbanded by the end of 2005. The Belgian Air Cadets glider fleet is currently composed of four Glaser-Dirks DG-300 Elan, four AMS-Flight DG-505 Elan ORION 17/20, four Grob G 102 Astir CS Jeans, ten Grob G 103/A Twin Astir I/II/Acro and one Siren C 30S Edelweiss.
