Scramble Military Serials North America 2017/18 (SMS NA 2017/18)

It has been three years since we had a Scramble Military Serials America, and now we are back! Again we chose to focus on North America only, and we hope you will enjoy this publication.

What is included!

Included are all active types (and sometimes only actual active aircraft) of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the United States AirForce, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and NASA as of 1 March 2017.

Because of the standardisation we sometimes use type, unit and serial presentations that may strongly differ from those used by the manufacturer or user.

While we have strived to keep our databases as up to date as possible, we are the first to admit that no database in existence is free of errors, as is ours. It is therefore likely you will come across some of those errors, and we urge you to let us know about them through our website at www.scramble.nl and go to the country which contains the mistake and leave an update. That way it will reach the editor responsible for that country directly.

Scramble Military Transports 2017

Scramble Military Transports 2017

This is the second edition of the Scramble Military Transports. As in the first edition from 2014 this publication not only covers the military transport aircraft but also the tanker, maritime patrol, liaison and training aircraft. Aircraft that operate for the government or government agencies are also included.

Countries are listed in alphabetical order and show active aircraft only, though ‘active’ in some countries can be a broad term. Awaiting parts or semi stored is also included for instance.

While we strive to keep the databases as up-to-date as possible, we are the first to admit that no database in existence is free of errors, as is ours. European Military Out of Service 2014

European Military Out of Service 2014 (EMOOS 2014)

Three years after another successful edition of the European Military Out Of Service (EMOOS for short),Otger van der Kooij (one of the editors of Scramble Magazine) and Andy Marden (one of the editors of Military Aviation Review) have produced the next edition: EMOOS 2014. It contains some fifty pages more than the 2011 edition (meaning a massive 767 pages!), and a new country: Greenland. The layout is the same as last time and as usual it covers military and ex military aircraft. Once again it is a hardback cover and GPS coordinates are also present, to help you find those hidden spots.

Scramble World Airline Fleets 2017

Scramble World Airline Fleets 2017 (SWAF2017)

Already the fourth edition of the Scramble World Airline Fleets lies in front of you. A lot of hard work has gone into compiling this year’s publication by the editorial team these past few months. We stuck to the same format with binder and protective covers front and back to take this book along on your travels across the globe.

A lot of changes have taken place since last year or are in the process of taking place. For instance, Boeing has decided not to use customer codes anymore on the 737NG, 747, 767 and 777 production line to bring them more in line with the designations used on the 737 Max and 787 production. So no more 737-8K5, 767-3S2FER or 777-36NER, but just 737-800, 767-300F or 777-300ER. These designations are shown in the official registers and are effective from the following line numbers: 6082 (737NG), 1534 (747), 1102 (767) and 1422 (777). Another big change from last year’s edition is that we have combined the South American airlines AVIANCA and LATAM and have put them under Colombia and Chile respectively like SAS that can be found under Sweden. All information you find in this issue of SWAF is current up to 15 March 2017.

While we strive to keep the databases as up to date as possible, we are the first to admit that no database in existence is free of errors, as is ours. It is therefore likely you will come across some of those errors, and we urge you to let us know about them at This email address is being protected from spambots. Once again we have enjoyed putting this publication together and sincerely hope you enjoy it too!

BARG DVD3

BARG DVD 3 (1989 - 1994)

This is the second of a series of four DVDs planned to be produced on a 6-monthly basis over a 2-year period started in the Summer of 2016.

Between 1958 and 2000 the British Aviation Reasearch Group (as it became known after a total of four name changes) produced approximately 29,000 pages of of primarily military aviation data and photographs in BARG's magazines and many other books and monographs. Although the publications side of BARG ceased in 2000 the then BARG Committee has remained in existence to oversee the assets and the good name of the Group. Although BARG has been enthusiastic over the last six years, it is only within the last nine months that an opportunity has arisen to digitise over four DVDs the entire output of BARG in its current and former incarnations. All this was made possible with the help of the Dutch Aviation Society.

Each DVD contains around 7,000 pages of indexed and digitally searchable data, photographs and memorabilia. The DVD also contains search instructions. The most challenging, and complex, is DVD 1 (1957-1981) containing different sizes of newsletters and magazines of varying quality, printing methods and typefaces, ranging from stencils to those produced with the now obsolete inked-fabric ribbon and electric "Golfball" typewriter. DVD 1 will be the third DVD produced.Prices: Subscribers Netherlands €22.50, subscribers all other countries €29.25 (all prices inclusive of P&P),non-subscribers pay €5.00 extra.
